For over the last 250 000 years starvation has been a far greater threat than obesity. It is really only the last 100 years that obesity and excess food intake have been a problem.

Our genome has not evolved enough to protect us from diseases related to over abundance food intake.

It is only natural for humans to crave sweet food as this encouraged the intake of calorie rich foods such as fruit and honey in times of food deprivation.


It guided us away from spoiled or bitter, toxic food that could be harmful. . .

Ingredients 3 whole eggs 120g shrimp (peeled) 2 tbsp Greek yoghurt Salt, pepper Optional: garlic, chilli flakes, spinach Instructions Step 1 Lightly sauté shrimp in a pan (2–3 mins each side). Step 2 Whisk eggs with salt & pepper. Step 3 Pour eggs into pan, scramble gently. Step 4 Stir through Greek yoghurt at the end for creaminess. Step 5 Serve immediately.
