What is AquaFit?
Our AquaFit (aqua aerobics classes) are performed in the Freedom Fitness indoor pool, in a group setting led by our Freedom instructors. It is low-impact combining aerobic movements with water resistance to improve cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and flexibility.
What are the benefits of AquaFit?

No swimming skills are required for AquaFit classes since most exercises are performed in shallow water where participants can stand. However, participants should feel comfortable in water and be able to move freely.
What should I wear to an AquaFit class?
Wear comfortable, supportive swimwear that allows for freedom of movement.
Can I join if I have a medical condition or injury?
It's important to consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program, including AquaFit classes. Many individuals with medical conditions or injuries find AquaFit to be a safe and effective form of exercise, but modifications may be necessary. Be sure to inform our instructors of any health concerns before class.
How long is a typical AquaFit class?
Classes are 40 minutes, including warm-up, aerobic exercises, strength training, and cool-down/stretching.
What equipment is used in AquaFit classes?
We use foam noodles, water dumbbells, kickboards, and flotation belts. These tools help increase resistance and intensity, enhancing the effectiveness of the workout. All equipment is provided but you are welcome to bring your own.

Yes, AquaFit classes are designed to accommodate participants of all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced. Our instructors can provide modifications to exercises to meet individual needs and goals.
How often should I attend AquaFit classes?
