On October 1, 2024 a once 10 000 year old extinct Dire wolf (think of game of thrones) was brought back to life through a process called de-extinction.
The DNA was extracted from a 17000 year old Dire Wolf skull found in a river bed and a 13000 year old Dire Wolf tooth found in a cave. The team from Colossal deciphered the dire wolf genome and reconstructed its original DNA. . .
